Castles and Manors

As the protagonists of the NDR cult series "Mit Mut, Mörtel aber ohne Millionen", you can see how they want to turn this old gem into their private home and vacation apartments.

The manor house from 1816 on the edge of the lake district was part of a larger estate. The manor house is a jewel box of classicism with Biedermeier influences. It was never used for anything other than living, and although vacancy has damaged the structure, much of the original substance has been preserved. The Lükes now want to carefully uncover this and renovate it in line with its listed status in order to make it fit for a new era. Just 20 minutes away from Sültenhof, the Lükes run the first biodynamic winery in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. This is where the family currently lives. In addition to the vineyard, the family keeps old breeds of sheep and chickens as well as vacation accommodation for guests who love pure nature. Excursions to the magical vineyard included. The future vision is for the Hasseldorf wine estate to be connected to the historic manor house in the sense of an outbuilding.

    Ivenack Castle

    • Am Schloss, 17153 Ivenack

The older, middle part of the castle dates back to the 16th century - the monastery building. A first extension took place in 1709 and after passing to the Imperial Counts v. Plessen around 1750. The semicircular stables, the orangery, the tea house and the church also date from this period. Around 1810, the castle was again extended by two wings. Since 2016, it has been renovated in accordance with the preservation order. The 1000-year-old Ivenack oaks in the former animal park are Germany's first national natural monument.
