Cage shed "Groot Partie" (summer 2019) in Neuendorf, © Fischereimuseum in Neuendorf
Cafés, Monuments and Sights, Museums, Historical Buildings, family-friendly, marry and celebrate

The building was built in 1884 by the fishermen of the then fish trap community "Groot Partie" and was ceremoniously opened in 2016 after 10 months of renovation.

In the former fish trap shed you will find a small exhibition on the topic "Herrings, Fische um Hiddensee, die Fischer der Insel, Hausmarken und Inselköök" as well as various, changing exhibitions. The digital picture archive provides a good insight into the former life of the fishermen. Readings and lectures about fishing and island history are offered regularly. In the evening, the "Groot Partie" turns into a small venue with great live concerts, readings or cabaret evenings. At the same time there is a museum café in the "Groot Partie". Here you can enjoy a cup of coffee and homemade cake and enjoy the unobstructed view over Neuendorf.
