On behalf of the Grand Duke, architect Hermann Willebrand created the designs for a linen room. In 1878, after the demolition of the previous building, this was supplemented by the construction of a "bed chamber". Willebrand unified both components with a uniform design and a simple classical plaster façade.
In 1878, Grand Duke Friedrich Franz II had the Linen and Bed Chamber in Schwerin rebuilt by architect Hermann Willebrand. The building was constructed on the site of the previous building, which no longer met modern requirements. Willebrand designed the extension to the functional building with a simple classical plaster façade and combined the linen room and the newly added bed chamber to form a harmonious ensemble. The ten-axis building has plastered façades and a flat hipped roof. Originally used as a supply building for the courtyard, the building is now in private use.
