The megalithic grave "Goldbusch" is located near Altensien and close to the Sellin Lake.
Between Altensien and Moritzdorf on a flat hill there is the megalithic grave "Goldbusch". In 1969 this grave was archaeologically investigated. It was discovered that the supporting stones were not set into a pit as usual, but were placed on the existing soil and a clay pack was piled up all around for stability. In addition to finds from the Funnel Beaker Period dating from around 3000 BC, including axes, chisels, blades, pottery, and crosscutters, the excavation also yielded more recent finds from the Single Grave Culture.
