Painting, glass, wood, ceramics, jewelry at Smedsens Hoff In the former cowshed of the Smedsens Hoff farm in the Hessenburg district of Saal am Saaler Bodden is the small but fine PL Gallery. Gallery owner Patricia Lehmann regularly shows three large exhibitions per year in addition to the temporary Rauhnächte exhibition between Christmas and Epiphany. It starts in spring with a personal exhibition, followed by the joint exhibition "EigenARTen" with contemporary art by the gallery's artists after midsummer and finally a themed exhibition in the fall. You will also find glass, wood, ceramics and jewelry by artists/craftspeople from northern Germany and the Nordic countries around the Baltic Sea at Galerie PL.
A wonderful gallery and a great location! The peace and tranquillity of Hessenburg in contrast to the hustle and bustle of Hamburg certainly creates a very special atmosphere for art and crafts. It's great that Galerie PL supports local artists and craftspeople and offers a diverse selection of unique products.
The idea of showcasing handmade objects from the region adds to the appreciation of local creation and gives visitors the opportunity to discover something unique, often connected to the region. From the glass products to the soaps and ceramics, these works certainly reflect the craftsmanship and traditions of the Baltic region.
Finding special gifts for any occasion is a great way to show people that you are thinking of them, and the PL Gallery is not just a place to sell, but also a platform that celebrates creative work in the region.
