born 1939 comes from Falkenstein/Vogtland. The artist first completed a miner's apprenticeship and hewer training in coal mining in Zwickau. After attending the Workers' and Farmers' Faculty, he studied painting at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts from 1960 to 1965. Eisenfeld has been painting freelance since 1965. First in Kreischa near Dresden, since 1981, after his politically motivated resettlement, in West Berlin and in Dalarna in central Sweden. Since 2005 Kreischa near Dresden is again the center of his artistic work.
