Teterower Heidberge forest adventure area

Nature lovers and hikers will find a special kind of forest adventure area in the Teterow Heidberge. A colorful mix of deciduous and coniferous trees grows in this landscape shaped by the Ice Age. Occasionally you will come across fens and alder swamp forests. Natural phenomena, interesting plant and animal species and their secrets and talents can be discovered at many different stations. The broad thematic spectrum of the area also includes topics such as climate change and natural pharmacy. An adventure station also leads into the moor. The forest adventure trail is divided into two sections: the main trail - Forest of Talents - comprises 9 stations over a length of 1.6 km. On the Philosopher's Path, there are another 5 stations over a distance of just under 1 km. The Dargun forestry office offers educational forest activities for school classes and children's groups. These offers are free of charge. Once in the Heidbergen, visitors should definitely plan a detour to the memorial - a monument to the victims of the First World War. From its platform, hikers can enjoy a wide view over the treetops into the landscape of Mecklenburg Switzerland.
