Footgolf is the perfect combination of the globally popular sports of soccer and golf. Unlike soccer golf, the courses are embedded directly into a classic golf course. The Footgolf course is equipped with 27 lanes and holes. The Footgolf facility is the first in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Footgolf is a combination of two of the world's most popular sports, golf and soccer. The aim of the game is to play a soccer ball with as few shots as possible from a given teeing ground over various courses in an oversized hole (diameter approx. 53 cm). Footgolf is based on the rules and procedures of golf, but in a simplified way. The soccer must be kicked with a flowing motion and the soccer must be played as it lies. Each player should be disciplined and always show courtesy and sportsmanship, no matter how ambitious each player is. Because that is "the spirit of the game". Footgolf is played with a regular soccer on a classic golf course and there is no referee. The sport can be played by all ages and with any body size. You do not have to be an active player to play this sport. All that is needed is the desire and enjoyment of outdoor exercise. No special equipment is needed, only normal leisure or sports shoes. To protect the terrain, the rules state that either shoes with a multinock sole and shoes for turf or indoor floors are suitable. Cleated shoes are not allowed. Per game you have to plan about 2.5 hours for the 27 hole footgolf course at Golfpark Strelasund. The goal is to get a regular soccer into the hole with as few shots as possible over the various courses. People of all ages around the world have already taken a liking to this new trend sport, because anyone can play footgolf. No special equipment is needed, only cleated shoes must be dispensed with.
