Fishing history to touch in the old fish trap shed of the "Lütt Partie" in Neuendorf
At the entrance to Neuendorf is the former fish trap shed "Lütt Partie", which was designed and furnished by Neuendorf fishermen. Here visitors can experience fishing history at first hand. A multitude of equipment, photographs and display boards remind visitors of the great days of the fishing trade. Regular museum tours are given by the old fishermen themselves. Although the museum is open to the public from May to September, you should join a guided tour. No photo, no display board and no model can explain the work processes of fishing as well as a real fisherman. One staircase up, you will find yourself on the net floor, where the nets were stored during the winter. In the "Guten Stube" there are mainly photographs hanging on the walls showing well-known Hiddensee fishermen, their boats and work processes.
