Are you looking for peace and quiet, are you interested in unusual flora and fauna, can you discover hidden things for yourself and do you want to get involved in experimental artistic work? Then you've come to the right place - the Exotik-Kunst-Garten in Lychen. This special artist garden in the northwest of the Uckermark has the most extensive collection of woody plants in the district of Uckermark on 8000 square meters.
Since the groundbreaking ceremony in the fall of 2000, the artist Jens Nagel, with the support of his wife and son, has single-handedly created a gem for nature lovers and art enthusiasts. Hundreds of rhododendrons, magnolias, hydrangeas, conifers and deciduous shrubs grow and flourish. The peculiar garden design arouses curiosity and provides inspiration. The animal enclosures bring liveliness into it. The newly planted bamboo grove provides an Asian feeling. The Nagel Gallery is located in the adjacent barn building. When visiting the gallery, you will find a wide range of paintings in oil, acrylic or pencil, clay sculptures and photographic works. You can then round off your visit with coffee and cake on the terrace in front of it.
