Church services are held regularly in the church. In summer the church invites to concerts and evening events.
Baabe originally belonged to the parish of Middelhagen and only became an independent parish at the beginning of the 20th century. The Baabe church was built in 1929/30 on the initiative of the Middelhagen pastor Medenwald.
