The Engel Garden next to the Malchow Monastery has existed for 200 years.
It takes its name from Johann Jakob Christian Engel, who worked as a kitchen master at the monastery from 1786 to 1819. He initiated the transformation of the regions southwest of the monastery up to the monastery cemetery. His successors joined his work and constantly expanded the area.
