The construction of the Gothic church started in the 15th century. The oldest parts of the Church date back to the 13th century. Also the brick altar is medieval. The fresco of St. Michael is worth a visit inside the church. The tower was built at the end of the 19th century.

The market square is the heart of the historic old town. Caspar David Friedrich painted the market square with a view of the Ratsapotheke and part of the town hall as a watercolor - on display in the Pomeranian State Museum.
