The diving gondola at the head of the 315-meter-long pier offers you the opportunity to take a dry-foot dive into the Baltic Sea and get a closer look at the habitat beneath the waves.
As early as 1897, in the course of the developing spa traffic, a pier was built in Zinnowitz, which served to transport tourists by boat. In 1908 the pier was built. After the Second World War, it was demolished due to weathering damage. In the fall of 1993, the current pier, which measures 315 meters, was inaugurated. It bears the name Vineta.
At the end of the pier is the diving gondola, which invites you to an underwater walk of a special kind. During the approximately 30-minute journey to the bottom of the sea, visitors gain an interesting insight into the habitat "Baltic Sea". The staff provide information about the Baltic Sea, its inhabitants and their need for protection, explaining the creatures that can be observed depending on the view and the season, e.g. tiny green algae, jellyfish, shrimps and sometimes fish.
