Hiking through prehistoric times An experience for the whole family
The history of the dinosaurs is told on an approx. 1500 m long circular path. Meet impressive, true-to-the-original, partly movable replicas and learn more about the diversity and size as well as the life of the early inhabitants of the earth.
A circular route shows the emergence of the first living creatures in water, the evolution of vertebrates, the conquest of the air by pterosaurs and birds.
But not only dinosaurs, but also long extinct animals from the Quaternary and Tertiary to the development of man in the present are presented in Dinosaur Land Rügen.
The visitor is actively involved in the topic. A lot of knowledge is conveyed in a vivid way. In a small exhibition, among other things, a 12,000-year-old mammoth tusk and real fossilized dinosaur eggs are presented. Questions are raised and answered. The life of the giants of prehistoric times is described and explained very clearly, on a scientific basis, on clear written boards.

In the dinosaur cinema you can learn a lot about excavations and dinosaurs. You also have the opportunity to make your own fossil casts out of plaster, or recreate an excavation outdoors, uncovering a complete dinosaur skeleton (in replica).
Four playgrounds, archery, knife-throwing, a small maze and the Stone Age village inhabited by the Stone Age man "Steini" ensure a varied visit to the realm of the giants.
If you feel hungry after these numerous impressions, you will surely find a delicious snack in the "Dinobistro".
