Farm Shops, Shop regionally, sustainable

Fresh, untreated milk, butter, cheese, yogurt, whipped cream, whey and sausage specialties - you get it all at Hof Weitenfeld! Whether directly on the farm, delivered to your doorstep or at the weekly market - the milk is processed directly in the farm dairy and thus always reaches you as fresh as possible.

The Weitenfeld farm is beautifully situated amidst the lush meadows and fertile fields of the Teldau directly on the Elbe. The farm includes 160 cows and the female offspring. Altogether 360 cattle have their home with us. At present we cultivate 400 hectares of agricultural land. We are a partner of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve River Landscape Elbe and actively support sustainable regional development in the biosphere region! Out of responsibility towards our consumers and future generations, we decided in 1994 to break new ground in agriculture. The guarantee of origin for our products is based on the fact that all our cattle are born and lovingly raised on our farm. In addition, with the exception of mineral mixtures, the animals are fed only feed that we have grown and harvested ourselves and which corresponds to the natural nutritional behavior of the cattle. Thus, we do not put the influence on the ingredients, purity and quality of our products in the hands of others at any stage. The conditions in which our animals are kept are recognized as appropriate to their species. They feel visibly at ease on the pastures at least from May to October and in the winter in comfortable stalls and on their straw beds.
From the end of April to November, our steers have access to pasture. Thus, the very slowly growing meat gets this very special quality, which has long ago helped the Mecklenburger Weideochsen to fame and on the Mecklenburg coat of arms. From September to April there is a monthly slaughtering date when you can place your order.
