The Landschulmuseum Göldenitz is an original preserved school from 1880 and today the supporting school museum in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
In the impressive walls you can experience the school history in the light of past centuries and a "detention hour" (by appointment) as in great-grandfather's time.
The typical one-class school around 1880 of the former Mecklenburg served its purpose until 1963 and since 1976 houses
the country school museum Göldenitz with
- authentic teacher's apartment ("Gute Stube", children's room, kitchen, dining room)
- the original classroom and
- the typical outdoor facilities of the time.
- In addition to the area of school, the preserved cultural assets thus also include the areas of rural life, family, work and leisure.
- Diverse exhibitions and collections (from the development of Protestant religious education, to the country school in the 19th century, to school history under National Socialism and the GDR),
- inform you about the importance of education for people and about the influence of elites and the state.
- The "detention" - a historical lesson - and
- offers on traditional crafts, such as "Baking Day", "Blacksmithing Day" and "Washing Day", as well as
- the media shows "The Talking Classroom" and "Life with the School" make history tangible.
We will be happy to put together a program (including guided tours, projects, detention, media shows and coffee) for group trips, first-day school parties, children's birthdays, class reunions and family and company celebrations.
