Since spring 2012, the first and only outdoor climbing wall in Rostock has been located at the Hochbunker on the site of the former Neptun shipyard. In addition to the outdoor climbing wall, an outdoor bouldering facility was also built. The climbing wall has many routes with different degrees of difficulty and has a height of 12 meters.
In the heart of the Hanseatic city of Rostock you can find the "Climbing Wall Rostock". A climbing wall is a construction based on the natural rock, which is used for climbing. On the climbing wall, climbing routes of various degrees of difficulty are set with color-coded holds. The individual holds are firmly connected to the wall by screws and can thus be regularly combined to form new routes. The main attraction of the climbing facility is a 328.74 square meter outdoor climbing wall on the outside facade of the bunker. An additional outdoor bouldering facility (bouldering = climbing without a rope at jumping height) completes the offer. In addition to the possibility of using the climbing wall or bouldering facility by the hour, there is an extensive range of courses, special events (night climbing, incentives, etc.) and an area with playground equipment for children.
