An attractive gateway to the natural paradise of the Mecklenburg Lake District
The Neustrelitz town harbor on Zierker See is an attractive gateway to the natural paradise of the Mecklenburg Lake District. From here, water hikers can explore the Müritz National Park and the Strelitz Kleinseenplatte via the Upper Havel Waterway. The Upper Havel Waterway takes you to the Müritz, Berlin or Hamburg. The Kammerkanal connects the Zierker See with the Woblitz. For over 100 years, this waterway was used to transport lime, wood, building materials and grain. Today, canoes, sports boats and excursion boats sail here. The extended and renovated town harbor offers the best conditions and services for a vacation on the water. Charter boats and passenger boats also set sail from the pier during the season. It is only a five-minute walk from the harbor to the city center.
In the harbor master's office you will find extensive information material about Neustrelitz and the surrounding area. You can also hire bicycles and e-bikes here.
