The richly structured neo-Gothic church was built between 1874 and 1876 with a two-bay, three-sided closed choir.
Since 2014, the tower of the village church Blücher houses the joint permanent exhibition of the parish Blücher and the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve River Landscape Elbe Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. On three exhibition levels, the visitor receives a lot of regional and varied information about the Schaale and Suden lowlands to the Elbe, the habitat floodplain landscape , our future handling of the river landscape and projects for grazing and the Life project are presented. Having reached a height of 22 m, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the diverse landscape from the top viewing level.
Blücher is a district of the municipality of Besitz and is located less than 10 km southeast of Boizenburg directly on the former Blücher polder in the idyllic Schaale and Suden lowlands.
