"The basic idea I worked out refers to the four elements. With this, creation wants to be reminded and the span of life visualized. Without the power and effect of the elements, the cycle of nature would not be described. To make the viewer aware of the essential, seemingly so self-evident things, such as water, fire, air and earth in an artistic pictorial way, is the overriding approach to content.
Through color and density of the processing glasses, the different materialities of the elements are clarified. The colored glasses are glued in a collage-like manner onto a transparent carrier glass. The structure is conceptually intended to be the same for all four windows, yet vividness is created in the sequence of the four window themes" - Marie Luise Dähne-.
