The exhibition building of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Technical Museum presents the fascinating world of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's technical and industrial history on an area of around 3,500 square meters and is divided according to the elements FIRE, WATER, AIR and EARTH.

The "Uwe Johnson" House of Literature is located in a former granary built around 1890 near Klützer Marktplatz. Bothmer Castle is one of the largest baroque palaces in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It was built in 1726-1732 by the architect Johann Friedrich Künnecke. The builder was Imperial Count Hans Caspar von Bothmer.
