The handcrafted brewing specialties of the Ludwigslust brewery are brewed just a stone's throw away from the picturesque baroque palace garden, where Duke Christian Ludwig already exuded his charm. Each type of beer is a tribute to Duke Christian Ludwig, the history of Ludwigslust and the monumental buildings of this unique little metropolis of the north. City Hall Ludwigslust

Ludwigsluster Schlossstraße is the site of today's town hall. However, the two-story brick building was not always the seat of the city administration. It was built in 1780 by Johann Joachim Busch and initially served as a court house, the upper floor of which housed the Carton-Fabrique.

Natureum Ludwigslust

The oldest building in Ludwigslust, built around 1750 as a fountain house, houses the "Natureum am Schloss Ludwigslust". It was built to supply water to the fountains located behind the former hunting lodge. Today, the "Naturforschende Gesellschaft Mecklenburg e.V." has its headquarters here. On the first floor of the Natureum, nature and the natural history of western Mecklenburg are presented in six rooms.
