Parks and Gardens

The botanical garden in the middle of the Hager tree nursery in Bartow offers an ideal destination for vacationers and especially for plant lovers from March to November. Those who prefer the rural idyll and are looking for a quiet place far away from the stress of everyday life are certainly in good hands here.

The botanical garden integrated into the nursery is now an insider tip for garden lovers. The visitor is guided through the plant by designated paths uncomplicated. You will see a total of more than 2500 different plant species and varieties on an area of 6000 m². All plants are signposted with botanical as well as German names, so that the visitor feels fully informed. A detailed tour takes about 45-60 minutes. In the Botanical Garden there are especially many rarities to admire. For the plant lover, this also opens up interesting educational material. New plants are first tested here for frost hardiness and resistance before they are approved for sale. Between the lovingly laid out plant sections, one can relax on sufficiently available benches. Two garden ponds offer variety and in turn provide a relaxing flair. In the period from May to September, the sea of blossoms of the wide range of woody plants is simply irresistible. We are also available for guided tours of the entire grounds.

Admission: adults € 2,- per person - free for children. If required, we also offer the purchase of an annual pass for 5,- € per person. You will have the advantage to visit the Botanical Garden as often as you like in the current year. If you wish, you can combine your visit to the garden directly with the use of our courtyard café. Here you can spend a cozy afternoon with coffee and cake alone or in company - gladly also on special occasions.
