The mighty "Bismarck Oak" stands in the heart of Bergen.
In the middle Bahnhofstraße there is a small square, which takes up Calandstraße. Old photos show that in this place there was a memorial stone in honor of the Reich Chancellor Otto von Bismarck, surrounded by a forged ornamental fence, with symbols such as oak leaves and ornamental balls. A young oak tree growing behind this stone is now the mighty "Bismarck Oak" that characterizes this square.
