Biosphere reserves have a lot of experiences to offer. Discover the diversity of the "Niedersächsische Elbtalaue" biosphere reserve here in the information center in our new biosphere room: the cinema room and the "Biosphere Quiz 1, 2 or 3" are just two of the various attractions on a good 60 square meters of space. Visitors - young people and adults alike - can discover the special features of the region at various media stations. An ideal starting point for your tour of the Elbe floodplain! Of course, if you are in the right place at the right time, you can also observe beavers outside in the Elbe floodplain. But in keeping with our approach as an information center for the biosphere reserve, which is to provide a "closer" look at the Elbe floodplain, you can experience the European beaver live with us! Here you can observe the beavers - depending on the time of day and the activity of the animals - outside in a spacious and species-appropriate beaver enclosure or in their beaver lodge. In the impressive aquarium landscape with its eight tanks and a total capacity of 70,000 liters, you can experience Elbe fish from eel to zander up close.
