Rügen's youngest and only seaside resort with a southern beach and a unique view of the Hanseatic City of Stralsund.

The beach in the youngest seaside resort on the Island of Rügen, which was redesigned in 2014, is located directly on the Strelasund and is suitable for water sports enthusiasts and anglers. The southern exposure allows especially on summer days many hours in the sun and enjoy the uniquely beautiful view of the silhouette of the Hanseatic and world heritage city of Stralsund. There is no other place where you can find such a striking view with the Rügen Bridge, the shipyard hall, the churches and the Speicherstadt on the harbor island with the Ozeaneum.

In addition to a bathing staircase near the playground, there is a bathing ramp in the further course, which also gives wheelchair users the possibility of a bath in Altefähr. Following this, one finds an area of 35m width, which was created as a natural beach between rows of groynes. Here a gentle bathing shore has been created, which also allows small children to swim and play safely in the shallow water area without any problems. Futuristic sun loungers invite you to sunbathe.
Separated from these three accesses by a large nature conservation meadow are the dog beach and the open beach area on the steep bank, which offers undisturbed bathing opportunities for nudist bathers.

The special bathing ramp makes our beach suitable for use by bathers with walking difficulties. The beach is guarded by the DLRG. The distance to the parking lots for people with disabilities is 200m. An accessible WC is located directly on the beach promenade (Euro key required).

A varied beach supply is ensured by the resident gastronomy.
