Cafés, Parks and Gardens, Castles and Manors

A beautiful, stately baroque castle complex near the Hanseatic city of Greifswald with corners and edges. The baroque castle with café and the park with ponds and old trees invite you to stay and relax. An enchanting ambience for wedding ceremonies, weddings and celebrations of all kinds.

The castle is located at the end of a double avenue of chestnut trees and is flanked by symmetrically arranged buildings with the Marstall and Kavaliershaus. The actual castle complex includes many other buildings, some of them restored, which are spread over the small village of Griebenow. The castle was built in 1709 and was laid out together with a picturesque park with ponds and old trees of about 14 hectares.
In the morning you will be greeted in the park by birdsong, dewdrops on the spider webs, rising mist over the pond and rays of sunshine. For nature lovers and walkers, the park offers flora and fauna in its purest form. In addition to the various large and small plants, one can always find mushrooms, of various kinds, as well as tits, woodpeckers, storks, frogs and much more.

In our café in the castle and in the courtyard of honor you can experience the relaxed atmosphere with coffee and homemade cake.
