Neighboring farmer Hein has many horses and ponies, which hardly any child can get past, because Hein offers you very affectionate riding lessons. In the village pottery of Astrid Romer you can not only buy regional pottery art, no, you can even try your hand and let your creativity run free.
And since Kalsow even has its own train station, you can travel to the old port and Hanseatic cities of Wismar and Rostock every hour, even without a car, or you can take the historic steam locomotive "Molli" from Bad Doberan to Kühlungsborn or Heiligendamm.
If you come to Bauer Hocke, you will of course be drawn to the Baltic Sea, whatever the wind and weather! The dreamy island of Poel or the Salzhaff region are only a stone's throw away. In summer it is a must to plunge into the refreshing waters. But even in the stormy season, the long walk along the natural beaches with their wild cliffs is simply part of every vacation. Properly blown through by the fresh sea air you can then refuel warmth & energy in our sauna area.
