In the library, © Manfred Wigger, Hamburg

The writer Rudolf Presber spent many wonderful years in the former summer house "Ithaka". Today it houses the Graal-Müritz spa library. Whether novels or specialist literature, magazines or audio books - here you will find all genres. But the library is also a meeting place for literary events.

The former summer house "Ithaka" of the writer Rudolf Presber now houses the spa library. The author, who acquired the house in 1922, describes it thus:

"That was the goal of the restless, that was the wanderer's desire: a quiet cottage among roses and distant wavesang from the sea."

Even today, it is worthwhile to stop in at Fritz-Reuter-Str. 17. With about 9000 media we offer you a comprehensive and interesting selection of books, magazines, audio books and DVDs. On the second floor you will find an internet place and a comfortable reading room, where events take place regularly. Our little readers have a friendly and child-friendly room for themselves. In the summer you can sit in the garden and enjoy a book with a cup of coffee.
