Ateliers and Workshops

Sculptor Thomas Lehnigk makes sculptures from stone - for example, from the Mecklenburg lawn ironstone - and steel, as well as objects for home and garden.

Thomas Lehnigk's works can be found in Dargun, Schwerin, Ludwigslust and Güstrow, among other places. His studio is located in a former brickyard in the village of Kummer between Ludwigslust and Redefin.

In the castle's museum, the restored rooms shine in courtly splendor and transport visitors back in time. In the hunting hall of the castle there is a café with a spacious terrace overlooking the castle park.

City Hall Ludwigslust

Ludwigsluster Schlossstraße is the site of today's town hall. However, the two-story brick building was not always the seat of the city administration. It was built in 1780 by Johann Joachim Busch and initially served as a court house, the upper floor of which housed the Carton-Fabrique.

The oldest building in Ludwigslust, built around 1750 as a fountain house, houses the "Natureum am Schloss Ludwigslust". On the first floor of the Natureum, nature and the natural history of western Mecklenburg are presented in six rooms.
