Traditional Handicrafts

The porcelain studio is located in the small village of Gnevezow, on the border between Mecklenburg and Vorpommern, not far from Lake Kummerow. Here, since autumn 2014, unique pieces and small series are created from porcelain.

My goal is to give my products a regional reference. I live in a rural region, love nature and spend a lot of time outdoors. It is the idyllic landscape and the associated tranquility that make Mecklenburg-Vorpommern for me.these feelings should also be reflected in my porcelain. For this, the nature around me is a direct source of inspiration. Stones, flowers, fruit and grain serve as models and provide surfaces, patterns and structures. Combined with the functionality of porcelain, vases, bowls, lamps and jewelry are created.

Just come by the studio and look over my shoulder while I work.

Ivenack Castle

  • Am Schloss, 17153 Ivenack

The older, middle part of the castle dates back to the 16th century - the monastery building. A first extension took place in 1709 and after passing to the Imperial Counts v. Plessen around 1750. The semicircular stables, the orangery, the tea house and the church also date from this period. Around 1810, the castle was again extended by two wings. Since 2016, it has been renovated in accordance with the preservation order. The 1000-year-old Ivenack oaks in the former animal park are Germany's first national natural monument.
