A. Paul Weber Museum

Andreas Paul Weber was an important German lithographer, draftsman and painter. He was born on 1.11.1983 in Thuringia. The artist died on 9.11.1980. His urn was buried in the garden of the museum. His complete works include about 3000 lithographs, hundreds of woodcuts, over 200 oil paintings, many sketches and several thousand hand drawings. It displays about 300 exhibits from Weber's work in 23 rooms. The museum continues to offer guided tours, lectures and educational talks. ...

Climate Forest Biosphere Reserve Schaalsee

The former inner-German border strip, the "Green Belt", is virtually predestined to be further enhanced by the creation of new forest areas. So it was only logical to add another climate forest to the existing ones in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from summer 2010. The first planting campaign took place in April 2011. The total area consists of three parcels of land, two of which were reforested as part of the planting campaign with the Schwerin energy supplier WEMAG.
