The handbike tour starts right on the border with Poland in Altwarp. Before setting off, however, you should not miss the fresh fish and the harbor of the ancient fishing village. Along the well paved and signposted path to Warsin you will be enveloped by the wonderful scent of fresh juniper. Before reaching Ueckermünde, you will pass the villages of Vogelsang and Bellin along consistently green roadsides.

Once in the lagoon town of Ueckermünde, a visit to the Haff Museum directly at Ueckermünde harbor is a must. Also at the harbor and right nearby is the accessible Fischoase. If you need a little refreshment for the rest of the way, this is the place to go. Those who are more in the mood for freshly brewed coffee with a delicious piece of cake, the Café Blende (no ground-level access) in the old town invites you to take a breather.

After the rest, the tour continues to the Rollisegler. The "Wappen von Ueckermünde" is the only accessible tall ship in Germany. Up to four wheelchair users can hoist the sails here themselves at the same time on day trips or multi-day trips. The trip with the wheel sailer in the Szczecin Lagoon rounds off the handbike tour and leaves a lasting memory.
